ABOUT
Trey Fitzgerald is a classically trained tenor that was born and raised in San Jose, California. After living there for most of his life, he decided to move to Denver, Colorado to train in classical music.
He has performed in multiple ensembles and has worked overseas with the likes of Jeanne-Michèle Charbonnet and Neil Rosenshein. While abroad he performed in the opera Alcina by Handel as well as numerous opera scenes. Most of his experience comes from performances in scenes from operas such as La Boheme, La Traviata, and Lucia di Lammermoor. This season with The Lamont School of Music, he will be performing in the upcoming gala, as well as the opera Il Trittico.
He is currently studying at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. While at the Lamont School of Music, he has performed with Catherine Sailer and the Lamont Chorale, as well as working outside of the school with the Evans choir. This choir is also run by Dr. Sailer and has performed at many beautiful venues such as the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
While in Denver, he has performed with the Colorado Ballet singing in the chorus for Dracula. He also performed in Aspen in the chorus of Damnation of Faust with acclaimed soloists such as Bryan Hymel and John Relyea.
Though currently enrolled at Lamont, he has performed multiple events outside the school and has performed in operas in Italy. Most recently performing at an underground bar, Trey’s range extends to various, interesting venues to give classical music a more current feel, and bring enjoyment to people who would not usually listen to classical music.
